NSW Orana 491 visa

NSW Orana has advised that priority will be placed in the following order when assessing applications to RDA Orana. Priority of processing the application based as 1. Most important - 5 Least Important. Those who are living and working in the Orana region will have first priority in each of the following categories.

  1. Those who meet the full criteria of Stream 1 and are working in an occupation on the PMSOL..
  2. Those who meet the full criteria of Stream 1 and are working in a critical sector. E.g. Health, Construction, Essential services.
  3. Those who meet the 3 month minimum requirement and are working in an occupation on the PMSOL or are working in a critical sector.
  4. Those who meet the full criteria of Stream 1 generally. That is 12 months working in your nominated occupation (or closely related field) and living in regional NSW for 12 months. 
  5. Those who meet the minimum 3 month criteria

Applications will no longer be assessed based on when your application is submitted but by how you meet the priorities listed above. We cannot guarantee a positive outcome from either us or from NSW Treasury or the time in which it may take.

Demand on specific occupations can vary and allocations can be limited at any time. We cannot in anyway guarantee your outcome.
