Tasmania has received an extra 450 interim nomination places for the 2025-26 program year, 300 places for subclass 190 and 150 places for subclass 491. Although full nomination quotas are still not confirmed by the Australian Government, Tasmania has already opened ROIs (from 14 October 2025) for candidates with a Gold Pass. With this new interim allocation, Migration Tasmania will now begin issuing weekly invitation rounds, and invitations will extend beyond Gold Pass holders to include Green and Orange Pass candidates as well.
