Travel to Australia temporarily restricted for Iranian Visitor visa holders

Temporary travel restrictions are now in place for most people outside Australia who have a Subclass 600 Visitor visa linked to their Iranian passport.

The Arrival Control Determination (the Determination) began on 26 March 2026 and is in force for 6 months.

The Australian Government has made the Determination to protect the integrity and sustainability of the migration system.
