We are currently dealing with an unprecedented number of
trade applications, which has extended our processing times.
We are recruiting more qualified assessors to deal with this
increase, but there is strong demand for trade occupations and a shortage of
qualified assessors in Australia, particularly for motor mechanics and
engineering trades.
It is important to note that all applications we receive are
processed based on the lodgement date, i.e., the date on which we received
payment approval from Trades Recognition Australia (TRA).
We know this is frustrating for our applicants and we want
to assure you we are doing our best to reduce our assessment times.
