The Commonwealth Government has given South Australia a small interim allocation of skilled migration places for the 2025–26 program year. Because the number of places is very limited, South Australia will not open for new Registrations of Interest (ROIs) at this stage. Instead, Skilled and Business Migration (SBM) will concentrate on inviting strong applicants who are already helping to meet the state’s workforce needs, including candidates who submitted ROIs during the 2024–25 program year. Once the full allocation is announced by the Commonwealth, South Australia will release its complete policy settings and provide further details about the 2025–26 program.
