TRA Service Update

TRA has posted an update on their website as follows:

All TRA skills assessments are proceeding as usual during periods of COVID-19 lockdowns.

TRA Enquiry Line

TRA is monitoring the higher than usual call demand caused by enquiries related to the COVID-19 restrictions. Due to increased call volumes, wait times on the TRA phone line are longer than usual. Please review the information on the website before phoning or submitting an email enquiry.

Provisional Skills Assessments (PSA)

TRA is currently experiencing an increase in the number of PSA applications received, which is affecting processing times. Currently our processing times are exceeding 90 days. If you are concerned about meeting any visa timeframes with the Department of Home Affairs you should contact that department to discuss your visa application (www.homeaffairs.gov.au).

Offshore Skills Assessment Program (OSAP) and TSS Skills Assessment Program (TSS)

TRA is aware that restrictions put in place in response to COVID-19 outbreaks may affect technical and practical assessments for some OSAP and TSS applicants. If you are unsure if these restrictions will affect the progress of your application, please contact your Registered Training Organaization (RTO) directly to discuss your concerns.

Migration Skills Assessment (MSA) and Migration Points Advice Programs (MPA)

No impact for the MSA and MPA programs. Applications will continue to be assessed as normal, with no current delays in processing times.
